BOOK OF PHILIPPIANS
The Book of Philippians is one of THE most encouraging books on JOY contained within the pages of the Bible. It’s author, the apostle Paul, tells us to rejoice 16 times in this small, but power packed letter to the early believers in Phillipi, a Roman military town enduring persecution. And overcoming adversity. Each week, we will delve into a verse-by-verse online bible study of Philippians, showing you the historical context of this letter, the hidden gems Paul unveils, the truth held in tension, along with Biblical and modern examples for you to engage the text, and action steps for you to grow in God!
Philippians 2:1-4 NASB
Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
